Universal App Using XCode

Here is a blog post describing the process of converting your apps into a "Universal App" that can be used on an Apple device at any resolution. XCode can be downloaded if you've registered as an Apple Developer, however, if you are not upgraded to Lion (like me), XCode is not free for whatever reason, but it is free if you are a Lion user (so I've read on certain websites). But! For those of you feeling adventurous running Lion, download the newest version of XCode and tell me if you can get this to work! I am really fascinated with how to get this done.
